Local Cannabis Entrepreneur Rob Pero to Speak at Great Midwest Hemp Fest on Oct. 1



WHAT: The Great Midwest Hemp Fest takes place in Madison this Sunday with a mission to educate, motivate, and make change. Join us on Oct. 1 at the UW-Madison Library Mall in Madison for the 54th-annual Great Midwest Hemp Fest. Groove to a dozen musical acts and performances on two different stages while browsing over 25+ hemp-friendly local Midwest vendors. Indulge in new experiences such as life-sized beer pong, pumpkin bowling, and hand-crafted edible demonstrations. End the day with a march to the Wisconsin Capitol to show your support for cannabis reform.


WHO: Wisconsin-based cannabis entrepreneur Rob Pero will be a headline speaker on the Capitol Steps during the Fest, taking the stage around 5 pm on Oct. 1. Rob is the founder of the leading national cannabis advocacy organization the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association, the founder of Canndigenous, the first independent Indigenous-owned hemp company in Wisconsin, and Ripley Green apothecary, which is located in downtown Cambridge.


Rob is an inspiring leader, visionary creative director, and advocate dedicated to creating economic opportunities in the hemp and cannabis industries for Indigenous communities. Rob is a member of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians and is committed to honoring his Indigenous heritage and Ojibwe roots.
